Automotive Mechanic

About the Position Mavis is a leading tire sales and automotive repair chain with over 2,000 retail locations across the United States. As a full‑time mechanic, you will diagnose and repair a wide range of undercar services—including brakes, struts, shocks, and other components—and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire installations.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs on customer vehicles.
Conduct state‑mandated inspections and complete required paperwork.
Change oil, filters, and inspect/replace other components as needed.
Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing over 50 lbs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications Minimum requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age and legal authorization to work in the United States.
At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
Personal toolbox sufficient for undercar repairs.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and lift.
Preferred qualifications:
State inspection license(s).
ASE certifications: G1, A4, and A5.
