We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Manage full-cycle recruitment and staffing for production, technical, and administrative roles within the manufacturing facility. Provide expert guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling specific to a plant environment. Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA). Administer HR programs covering performance management, compensation, benefits, and leave management for all manufacturing employees. Conduct comprehensive new hire onboarding, emphasizing plant safety protocols, company culture, and job-specific training coordination. Manage workers' compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and collaborate closely with the safety department on incident investigations. Support training and development initiatives for manufacturing personnel, identifying skill gaps and coordinating relevant programs. Recommended Qualifications

3+ years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws and HR compliance. Proven experience in talent acquisition for production and skilled trade roles. Demonstrated ability in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR data management. Bonus Qualifications

Experience supporting a unionized workforce. Fluency in a second language common to manufacturing workforces (e.g., Spanish). Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA). Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Job Titles That Should Apply
