HR Generalist | Otsego, MI
Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in a factory environment.
Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans for all staff.
Oversee benefits administration, payroll support, and leave management for a diverse manufacturing workforce.
Coordinate and deliver HR-related training programs, focusing on safety, compliance, and professional development relevant to manufacturing operations.
Manage workers' compensation claims and support workplace safety initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated expertise in federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues and investigations in a diverse workforce.
Experience recruiting for a range of manufacturing roles, including production, skilled trades, and technical positions.
Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and best practices.
Bonus Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency, especially Spanish.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Direct experience with safety program administration or OSHA compliance in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with HRIS/timekeeping systems commonly used in production environments (e.g., Kronos, ADP Workforce Now).
