HR Generalist | Hart, MI Salary Range:

$59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles, ensuring timely staffing to meet operational demands.

Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, labor laws, and employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.

Administer HR programs such as onboarding, performance management, and offboarding, tailored to the manufacturing environment.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal company policies and safety regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations.

Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs, addressing employee inquiries and facilitating annual review processes.

Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems (HRIS), generating reports as needed for management and compliance.

Collaborate with EHS to promote a safe working environment and ensure HR practices align with safety protocols and incident management.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with significant exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations.

Demonstrated ability in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management in a diverse workforce.

Experience with full-cycle recruitment for both hourly production staff and salaried manufacturing roles.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR data management.

Bonus Qualifications

Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program administration

Experience supporting a multi-shift manufacturing environment

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies

Advanced proficiency with a widely used HRIS in manufacturing (e.g., UKG, ADP Workforce Now)
