Production Assistant at Glass Flooring Systems (GFS)
Location: 6 Aaron Way, Sparta, NJ Position: Full-Time Production Assistant
Glass Flooring Systems (GFS) is a leading innovator in the architectural glass industry, specializing in high-quality glass flooring and structural glass solutions. We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our team and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across project coordination, logistics, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Freight Coordination: Schedule, track, and manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and accuracy. Communicate with freight carriers and maintain detailed records.
Shop Drawing Coordination: Review and manage shop drawings with customers for accuracy and approval. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment on project specifications.
Project Fabrication Coordination: Work closely with shop workers to schedule and track project fabrication timelines. Ensure all materials and specifications are available and communicated effectively.
Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventory checks, track materials, and maintain accurate records to ensure supply levels meet production demands.
Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, documentation management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or project coordination is a plus.
