What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Gather information for patient registration and schedule appointments, verifying demographic and insurance details
Monitor accounts routed to registration and obtain necessary financial clearance elements
Act as a subject matter expert in navigating payer policies to ensure patient access to services
Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve referral and authorization issues
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance throughout the registration process
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
1-3 years of hospital registration and/or insurance experience, with at least one year in a customer service role
General knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance processes
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personal and health-sensitive information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge of and experience with Epic software
Familiarity with CPT-ICD10 codes
Demonstrated customer service skills with effective problem‑solving abilities
Ability to navigate complex environments and handle challenging situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Zoom
