ACCOUNTING OFFICER (SPECIALIST)

Pay range: $5,266.00 - $6,591.00 A
Base Pay Range Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (Specialist) in the Financial and Reporting Unit performs professional and technical accounting duties of average difficulty related to the establishment and maintenance of accounts and financial records concerning the General Ledger and Accounts Receivable/Reimbursements for the Department.
Working Conditions This hybrid in-office/telework position may be subject to change. Incumbent must report to the office or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or canceled at any time. Incumbent must live and work in California. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
Computer will be used up to 70% of the time in the FI$Cal and various software applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel and Word). Must be able to use various office machines: computer, copier, scanner, etc. During peak times including year-end processing, request for leave will be limited and approved on a case-by-case basis. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and may require excess hours to be worked. Work pre-approved overtime when necessary to meet deadlines.
