Key Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability.
Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
Manage inventory valuation, including work‑in‑process and finished goods.
Prepare detailed cost reports, budget vs. actual analyses, and performance metrics.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to production costs.
Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accuracy of cost data within the ERP system.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles, including standard costing and variance analysis.
Experience with inventory valuation, BOM analysis, and production reporting.
Ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare accurate, timely reports.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with specific manufacturing ERP modules (e.g., SAP CO/PP, Oracle EBS Manufacturing)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot)
