Objectives of this Role:

Lead all shipping and receiving operations with strategic oversight, driving accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while inspiring and developing a high‑performing, accountable team.

Enhance and promote internal communications to provide stellar service at all times.

Draft and continuously enhance shipping and receiving processes, embedding best practices, OSHA and company safety standards, and industry‑leading operational procedures.

Champion operational excellence by defining and monitoring KPIs, streamlining workflows, and implementing innovative improvements that elevate departmental performance.

Identify workflow gaps and initiate process improvement projects to streamline operations and reduce errors.

Foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture by mentoring staff, promoting accountability, and ensuring alignment with departmental and company goals.

Partner with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Technical Divisions, and other groups to troubleshoot supply chain challenges, optimize operations, and support overall business objectives.

Maintain proactive and transparent communication with internal stakeholders.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling shipments, coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, inspecting incoming goods, and resolving discrepancies.

Manage the shipping and receiving team, including assigning daily tasks, coaching staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards.

Ensure compliance and safety, enforcing OSHA regulations, company safety policies, proper handling of hazardous materials, and routine inspection and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Maintain and improve processes, including documenting procedures, monitoring KPIs, analyzing workflow efficiency, and implementing process improvements to reduce errors and delays.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including Procurement, Warehouse, Technical Teams, and carriers, to manage inventory levels, support production schedules, and troubleshoot supply chain challenges.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field with directly related experience.

5+ years: Experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse management. Proven expertise in managing international shipments. At least 3 years must be in a leadership role overseeing a team of 20 or more.

HAZMAT & OSHA certifications preferred.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills both to work effectively with internal teams, external carriers, and stakeholders across the supply chain. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with cross‑functional teams and resolve issues timely & professionally.

Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, with the ability to actively participate in daily tasks while overseeing the entire workflow.

Hands‑on experience managing domestic & international shipping operations, including carrier coordination & regulatory compliance.

Strong leadership skills to guide, coach, and develop a high‑performing team, balancing hands‑on support with strategic management.

Track record of implementing process improvements and managing operational KPIs to drive efficiency.

Experience implementing supply chain software or improving Enterprise Resource Planning functionality preferred.

A valid/clear driver's license is required.
