Certified Surgical Technician Specialist – Fulltime Evening Shift
Texas Health Resources is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for our fast‑paced, high-volume surgery department. This role will support Level I trauma and complex surgical procedures.
Work Hours Full‑time, evening shift (36 hrs/week) with weekend and holiday requirements.
Department Highlights
Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
Level I Trauma candidate – high‑acuity surgical procedures
Robotics, complex spine and ortho trauma, intricate plastic surgery cases
Education
HS Diploma or equivalent and previous surgical technology practice before September 1, 2009.
Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program, or military training program in surgical technology (Preferred).
Experience Minimum 2 years recent experience in a surgical service specialty
Required .
Licenses and Certifications
CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT)
LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse (upon hire)
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (maintained quarterly, upon hire)
Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work across disciplines, maintain confidentiality, function in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple demands with rapid priority changes. Service orientation and ability to respond to needs and emotions of patients under stress.
