In the Surgery Department
Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures
Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are highlights of surgical offerings at THFW
Qualifications Education
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009.
Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (required).
Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program or military training program (preferred).
Experience
2 Years recent experience in a surgical service specialty (required).
Licenses and Certifications
CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program – required upon hire.
CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and employed before September 1, 2009 – required upon hire.
CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology – required upon hire.
LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse – required upon hire.
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly – required upon hire.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
High degree of confidentiality; can function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple demands.
Service orientation with ability to respond to needs and emotions of people under stress.
