Outpatient Therapist - Adults (25-142)
Location:
790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Hours:
40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm. No weekends or on‑call required.
Compensation $27.49–$36.44 per hour, based on internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials.

Job Responsibilities Provide ongoing, developmentally appropriate, evidence‑based, trauma and recovery focused outpatient therapy to clients of our Outpatient Clinic.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
Licensure in Michigan as a limited licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or eligibility to obtain within 3 months.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong assessment, diagnostic skills, and ethical practice understanding.
Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and address language/cultural barriers.
Experience communicating clearly in stressful situations.
At least one year providing individual and/or group DBT therapy to adults (for DBT therapists).
Preferred Qualifications
Fully licensed MSW, professional counselor, psychologist, or marriage and family therapist.
Training in motivational interviewing, CBT, and DBT.
CAADC certification through Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals or plan to obtain.
Knowledge of trauma‑informed theories, including community, intergenerational, and historical trauma.
Experience as part of a DBT treatment team for DBT therapists.
Experience providing individual therapy to clients with I/DD (for I/DD therapists).
Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders valued.
