Robotics Technician | Wyoming, MI
Salary Range:
$56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and commission new industrial robots and robotic work cells. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software malfunctions in robots. Repair or replace faulty robotic components, including servo motors, controllers, and end-of-arm tooling. Develop, modify, and optimize robot programs for various manufacturing processes and applications. Conduct thorough testing and validation of robotic systems post-maintenance or programming changes. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations accurately.
Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering technology. 2+ years of hands‑on experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA) in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including understanding of motor controls, sensors, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical documentation.
Bonus Qualifications Experience with robotic vision systems, AGVs, or collaborative robots (cobots). Proficiency in advanced robot programming languages (e.g., KAREL, RAPID, TP) or PLC ladder logic development. Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and data acquisition systems. Demonstrated ability in Lean Manufacturing principles or root cause analysis for process optimization.
