Autism Behavioral Services (ABS) is dedicated to providing individualized services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other mental health diagnoses. Role Description This full‑time on‑site Behavioral Health Technician role is based in Wilkes‑Barre, PA. The primary responsibilities include providing direct behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents, implementing treatment plans developed by Behavior Analysts, collecting and recording data on progress, and assisting in developing strategies to support behavioral goals. The Behavioral Health Technician will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a team‑based approach to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
Experience in Behavioral Intervention techniques and Psychology
Effective communication skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members
Ability to work with children and adolescents in various settings while promoting a positive and supportive environment
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is an asset
Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills
Willingness and ability to complete required certifications, including training in ABA and CPR/First Aid
