Overview
Join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – McKinney as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better. The Neonatal Intensive Care unit is a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment caring for infants 22 weeks gestation and older in a Level III NICU. The unit has 13 beds and a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity. Responsibilities
Shift: PRN, 7 pm–7 am, minimum of one shift per week.
Provide direct nursing care to infants in a Level III NICU.
Maintain patient‑to‑nurse ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 based on acuity.
Participate in the Unit Practice Council and unit QA activities.
Support staff mentoring and inter‑professional collaboration.
Apply evidence‑based practice to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience (or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year overall RN experience.
BSN preferred; additional NICU certification a plus.
