Job Overview BI Analyst / Business Intelligence Engineer 2

at CarePlus Health Plans. This role solves complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision‑makers.

Pay Range Base pay $66,800 – $91,100 per year.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize data models, ETL processes, and dashboards to track key performance indicators.

Support analysis of customer, provider, and operational data to deliver actionable insights for leadership.

Automate and improve reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy and predictability.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Finance, Operations) to ensure data consistency, governance, and alignment with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of technical experience in healthcare data analysis.

2+ years of experience in SQL, SAS, or other data systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation), PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.

Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher; experience with data mining and predictive modeling; knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, CMS, or other federally regulated healthcare programs; experience with Humana systems (Service Fund); Power BI visualization; Azure Synapse Analytics.

Work Style & Hours Remote work. Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.

Typical business hours Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑5 PM EST; workday must start between 6 AM‑9 AM EST.
