Key Responsibilities
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
Physical requirements: Must stand, walk, and bend for long periods; lift 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds when lifting patients); have adequate vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus).
Qualifications and Certifications
At least 1 year of recent acute care experience.
BLS, ACLS (PALS and NRP may be required in some areas).
RRT designation (required); 2 years of experience (required).
