Job Skills / Requirements We are hiring Flex Security Officers in the Galesburg, MI area. Pay: $18.50/hr, paid weekly. Hiring immediately.

Requirements

Previous Security Officer experience preferred.

Must be 21 years of age.

1+ years of experience in a customer service role.

Excellent customer service skills.

Must be able to complete drug screen and background check.

Must be flexible and team oriented.

Computer proficiency is a plus.

A Security Officer may perform duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Must read, understand, and act according to SOP quickly and efficiently.

Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our operational and financial success. A Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by covering shifts that become available due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; assignments may last several weeks but are not permanent.

Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.

You will be offered shifts as they become available.

Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others you may be called with short notice.

You are expected to work any scheduled shift that falls within your availability. If you know you are unavailable, communicate with your supervisor to avoid scheduling.

For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusing more than 20% could negatively impact employment status.

Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
