What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Support Long Term Care Claims leadership with reports, data, and analytical insights
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and develop dashboards and key performance indicators
- Conceptualize, create, and automate dashboards in PowerBI for tracking metrics and driving business recommendations
- Build and maintain reporting using tools such as SQL, Spotfire, and PowerBI
- Participate in strategic initiative projects by providing insights and data analysis
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical discipline
- 2-5 years of professional experience in developing SQL code in Oracle or Microsoft SQL
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with a critical thinking mindset
- Strong knowledge of managing and analyzing structured data using Microsoft Excel, SQL, and/or Python
- Proficiency in writing SQL and optimizing established SQL queries
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools
- Familiarity with claims operations or insurance industry data
- Strong communication skills to present findings to leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in a data analyst role within the insurance sector
