Purpose of the Role As a Territory Development Manager you will drive sustainable business growth by engaging Operators, Chains, and Trade Partners. You will use data and CRM tools to plan and execute sales calls, build market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences through virtual culinary consultation and in‑person demos.
Demand Creation Engage with Local Chain Accounts and operators to achieve assigned business targets – turnover, reach, penetration, digital engagement, fully profiled operators, demos, sampling, and more.
Key Activities
Convert business insights into activation and solution selling.
Create concept selling solutions based on market trends.
Lead customers to the right solution.
Network with key stakeholders to engage decision makers.
Prepare visits with solution recommendations and manage workflow via Salesforce.
Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual sampling, ideation, and cooking demos.
Follow up on prior calls to ensure progress to close.
Secure and coordinate customer orders each month.
Meet with distributors and trade partners to expand assortment and source leads.
Build and nurture relationships with local distributor sales reps.
Implement a contact matrix for key trade customers with a squad approach.
Engage trade customers to align on secondary sales data.
Implement promotions related to key seasons and events.
Ensure timely submission and settlement of claims.
Critical Skills Required for the Role
A hunter mindset with 70% hunting and 30% farming focus.
Fast adoption of contemporary technology, including AI, MS Office, Power BI, and Excel.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to creating mutually beneficial solutions.
Curiosity and continuous learning about market food trends.
Ability to sell premium brands with superior stories and culinary solutions.
Bilingualism is a plus (Spanish, Mandarin).
Essential Experiences
CPG foodservice sales experience (B2B).
Culinary/chef selling experience.
Network of existing foodservice operator partners.
Experience in distributor, ingredient, or broker sales.
CRM experience (Salesforce).
Operator experience.
Market/geographic knowledge.
Background in food university (CIA, Food & Hospitality).
Experience in a multinational corporate environment.
