Controller – Manufacturing – On‑Site
Our client is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a well‑established, high‑growth manufacturer. This is a highly visible role for a finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations and executive leadership, owning the full accounting function, and driving financial insight. The Controller will act as a true business partner.
Responsibilities
Lead and own end‑to‑end accounting operations, including month‑end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Serve as a key partner to executive leadership on financial strategy and operational performance
Provide accurate, timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and a publicly traded parent organization
Analyze product and job cost trends, margins, and operational KPIs
Support revenue recognition review and customer credit evaluations
Oversee inventory accounting, including WIP, finished goods, cycle counts, physical inventories, and obsolescence analysis
Drive continuous improvement across cost controls, inventory management, and financial processes
Support ERP reporting enhancements and system optimization
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX 404 controls, tax, and regulatory requirements
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounting team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred
10+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and inventory accounting
ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
Proven leadership ability with experience managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
ERP implementation experience is a plus
Experience in a public company is a plus
Expected salary range: $160 K – $190 K, depending on experience.
