Assistant Professor of Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) (Warner Robins Campus) Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is seeking a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology for the Department of Natural Sciences. This full‑time, 10‑month faculty position involves teaching, scholarship and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening lower‑level and upper‑level biology courses, online or hybrid courses. Travel among MGA campuses will be required.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate biology courses (lower‑level and upper‑level, day, evening, online, hybrid).

Assist with student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and departmental and university committee service.

Conduct scholarly research in anatomy or physiology and publish results.

Participate in departmental and university administrative activities.

Travel to satellite campuses as needed.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Biology or related field with expertise in anatomy and physiology.

Strong record of undergraduate teaching and a demonstrated ability to incorporate active learning strategies.

Evidence of scholarship in biology or a related field.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior successful teaching experience at a university or college.

Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research.

Experience in online or hybrid course design and delivery.
