Our 12‑month Sales Trainee Program (STP) is designed to launch early‑career professionals into rewarding sales roles. Throughout the program you will rotate through dedicated training, shadow experienced sales leaders, and receive formalized mentorship.
What to Expect The program is structured around three core phases: Learn, Shadow, and Develop.
Learn
Participate in workshops, product training, and sales techniques sessions.
Engage in training to understand Ferguson’s processes, products and customer engagement strategies.
Shadow
Observe sales professionals in real client interactions, negotiation, and closing deals.
Follow the full sales cycle from prospecting to post‑sale support.
Develop
Seek feedback from mentors, peers, and supervisors to refine skills.
Participate in performance evaluations and set goals for professional growth.

Program Graduation After successful completion, graduates transition to a sales destination role aligned with personal preferences and business needs.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the sales team with project tasks, timelines, and prospecting.
Assist in drafting sales proposals, contracts, and other closing documents.
Coordinate sales projects, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
Engage customers to understand needs, answer inquiries, and share product knowledge.
Collect customer feedback to improve the overall experience.
Proactively learn new sales techniques, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; 1‑3 years of experience may substitute.
Strong desire to work in sales and learn about products, services, and technology.
Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
Customer‑centric and able to meet client needs effectively.
Flexible and open to change.
Prior sales experience or internships preferred.
