Assistant Professor - Dept. of Mathematics & Statistics
Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor position within the School of Computing, Department of Mathematics & Statistics. The position is full‑time, 10‑month, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The applicant will teach undergraduate mathematics courses, serve the department and university, and contribute to scholarly activities at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities
Teach day and evening undergraduate mathematics courses across MGA campuses (Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Warner Robins). Travel between campuses may be required.
Participate in departmental service and institutional mission initiatives.
Engage in scholarly activities to support tenure and promotion.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of statistical theory and proficiency in industry‑standard analytical tools.
