Job Summary Supports the development, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance of new and existing Electronic Health Record Applications. The focus of this job will be Laboratory Services (Hospital and Ambulatory), and Radiology Services (Hospital and Ambulatory).

Compensation Annual wage range: $66,830.40 to $94,328.00 based on a 1.0 FTE. This reflects the base salary.

Key Accountabilities

Provide expertise with design, build and testing of EHR software, including integrated and interfaced applications, for updates, project related system changes and change requests.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the EHR analyst Team and provides guidance to support the team.

Serves as a primary liaison/resource between clinical workflows and technology between solution workgroups, clients and vendors.

Receive, analyze, track, document and plan issue resolution and/or change requests.

Communicate frequently with users, Super Users and other analysts to resolve issues and/or ensure that systems and processes are working as designed.

Assists in the review of new software releases and updates to facilitate user determination of functionality that will be utilized.

Assist with EHR training for new software updates, request implementations and new EHR deployment. Understands the IS security policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed and adhered to.

Provide after hours and weekend on call support as scheduled.

Adhere to all ITS Security Policies and Procedures.

Required Qualifications

Associate, Bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent work-related experience.

Minimum 2 years of EHR integrated Laboratory Information System (LIS) platforms experience preferably in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.

Experience with Laboratory instruments such as Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Gas, configuring and managing interfaces to LIS platforms.

Experience with EHR integrated Radiology Information System (RIS) platforms experience preferably in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.

Knowledge of patient workflow, overall documentation and billing requirements for both LIS and RIS platforms.

Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.

Must be able to utilize analytical thought processes to solve problems, determine and implement effective, technically innovative solutions.

Possess critical thinking, systems thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with major Laboratory Information System (LIS) platforms, such as MEDITECH Expanse or Epic Beaker.

Experience with major Radiology Information System (RIS) platforms, such as MEDITECH Expanse, Epic Radiant.

Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and its potential for improving departmental and interdepartmental efficiency.

Organized with proven ability to manage projects, and meet deadlines.

Ability to operate at the detail level, and with a high level organizational and integrated view. Awareness of how, when and to what extent different hospital departments relate and communicate with one another.

Schedule

80 hours per two-week pay period.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Occasional weekend availability may be required for projects, LIVE items, etc.

Assigned call rotation once every 13 weeks, covering a 7-day period.
