What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments using hospital systems
Collect co-pays and process payments for patient accounts
Conduct insurance verification and gather outside medical records as needed
Assist the public by greeting patients and answering telephones in a professional manner
Participate in training and orientation for new staff members and attend staff meetings
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma, GED, or formal educational equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of direct customer service or healthcare experience
Ability to follow oral instructions and demonstrate effective communication skills
Basic computer and keyboard skills, along with knowledge of office machines
Excellent customer service skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Experience with patient registration processes
