What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups for imaging and diagnostic tests
Coordinate pre-op and post-op visits for surgeries or other procedures
Manage complex care plans across various specialties, including neurology and radiology
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations
Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical teams, providing necessary instructions
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years of customer service or healthcare experience
Ability to perform all duties of Access Coordinator I and II levels
Basic proficiency with computers and data entry, preferably MS Office
Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling within a healthcare environment
Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Certified Health-care Access Associate (CHAA) Certification
Experience with external radiology testing
Knowledge of CPT codes and medical terminology
Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare registration or scheduling role
