CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. Provides full-day, full-year early childhood development services to low income children, ages 0-3 years, and their families in educationally-stimulating learning environments.
Objective And Position Summary The Family Service and Engagement Worker (FSEW) will collaborate with families in a partnership process that identifies the family needs, interests, strengths, goals, and resources needed to support the family’s well‑being. The FSEW is the family’s liaison to program and community services and will connect assigned families to services which promote healthy, safety, and economic stability. The FSEW will be expected to conduct family engagement services and activities in the family’s preferred language to the extent possible. Promotes school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position. Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments. Maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the school, outdoor and indoor environments.
Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
Within eighteen months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.
An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development (ECE).
NOTE: Education obtained outside of the United States of America (USA) and from another country must be evaluated from an accredited organization to determine equivalency to USA education status.
Other Requirements
Bilingual in English/Spanish. (Preferred)
Experience working with culturally diverse and low‑income families (Preferred)
Applicant must have basic keyboard skills and be able to use computer, computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web‑based systems.
