The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The position also manages shifts when the Assistant Manager or Store Manager is absent.
Essential Job Functions
Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
Answer telephone calls according to company policy.
Process all buy online/ship to store, hub, store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area.
Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
Communicate Zipline messages and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, approve changes/deviations, and clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, ensure night security lights are on, lock doors, arm/disarm security alarms, and secure delivery vehicle(s) in the designated area.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities
Strong communication skills
Ability to obtain RSS Certification
Desired
Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
Automotive systems and repair knowledge
ASE Certification
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
