Our multi-specialty orthopedic clinics offer additional services such as Pain Management, Physical & Hand Therapy, Athletic Performance, X-ray and MRI, InstantOrtho™ a walk-in clinic for urgent orthopedic conditions, and more! We need professionals who share our vision and the commitment to see it through. As a Surgery Scheduler you will:
Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule surgeries. Communicate necessary information to patients, staff, and physicians. Verify necessary information and record information in the patient’s medical record. Coordinate necessary equipment, surgical assistants, and anesthesia relative to surgeries. Maintain and update physician’s calendars. Answer telephone, screen calls, clear voicemail, and return patient calls in a timely manner. Answer questions regarding patient’s upcoming surgeries. Update patient information. Prepare surgical packet materials. Assist in training and orienting of new staff. Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understand/Perform training on practice management software. Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1-year experience of medical scheduling. Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience surgery scheduling. Full Time Benefits
