Welcome to the role of Project Manager. In this position, you’ll help lead and coordinate a wide range of industrial projects—everything from custom fabrication and machining work to engineering‑driven builds, electrical installations, and other unique challenges our teams take on. You’ll work closely with clients to understand requirements and keep them informed, while collaborating internally with Engineering, Fabrication, Field Services, Installation, Accounting, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Quality Control to keep every project moving smoothly.
We’re looking for someone with hands‑on experience in fabrication and machining, engineering, electrical, or other industrial environments, and who understands how all the moving parts of a project come together. This role requires strong organizational and project management skills, along with the flexibility to travel and work occasional overtime. Overnight travel may be required but is typically minimal.
Responsibilities
Assist subject matter experts in the preparation and review of proposals.
Work with Accounting to input and track projected and actual costs, process purchase orders, identify change orders, and create accurate bills.
Create, review, and update project schedules.
Track and report project status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Manage and maintain project costs and work‑in‑progress estimates.
Facilitate communications between internal groups, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
Organize, file, and maintain project documents.
Schedule and confirm material and equipment deliveries.
Determine staffing and equipment needs and oversee scheduling and asset management.
Forecast resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Requirements
Office based with frequent visits to shop floor.
Site visits and on‑site work at industrial, manufacturing, and energy facilities.
5+ years of project management preferred.
1+ years’ experience with project accounting and scheduling preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
A high level of organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
Previous experience with direct customer relations skills preferred.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
Ability to work independently and in team environments.
Excels in a high‑paced work environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
Ability to balance multiple projects effectively.
