As a
Mechanical Engineer 1 , you’ll play a key role in supporting a variety of innovative projects from concept through installation, including custom electromechanical equipment, robotics, structures, workstations, and equipment mounting.
Responsibilities
Perform Mechanical 3D design, 2D drawings, component specification, assembly, and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products as assigned
Gather information and pricing for proposal process to include site visits as needed
Collaborate with Project Managers, other engineers, and purchasing to communicate and track equipment and material needs from outside vendors
Develop and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects as assigned
Lead assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in the shop or field
Recognize and communicate design changes to Engineers and Project Management that are not included in the Scope of Work or active Change Orders
Lead and mentor Engineering Technicians in various job duties and tasks as assigned
Working Conditions
Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type
Perform work on site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations
6 months’ - 2 years’ internship or relevant mechanical or engineering work experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year
Valid driver’s license required
Possesses proficiency in the use of personal computers to include Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in the use of software packages such as Inventor, AutoCad, or equivalent design software
