Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Assure courteous customer service: answer questions and direct customers to the Facility Manager if needed.
Report accidents, suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major surrounding streets, landmarks, and freeways.
Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport).
Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
License:
Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
DOT Medical Card:
A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
Availability:
Flexibility for 3rd shift and/or week‑ends may be required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively to customers and employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10’s and 100’s, including calculations with U.S. money.
Appearance:
Maintain a neat, clean appearance and full uniform at all times.
Physical Demands:
Stand, walk, use hands for cash and equipment, occasionally sit, climb or balance, and lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range:
$13.00 per hour
