Responsibilities Our Manager‑in‑Training (MIT) program is a custom interactive 12‑week program that guides you through hands‑on and computer‑based training. The program focuses on:

General training & comprehension – Learn and perform the job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions, and operate and teach others how to use industrial cleaning equipment.

Leadership development – Assist in training, quality control, and in‑servicing of staff according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.

Policies & procedures – Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.

Reporting – Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format.

Training – Be responsible for training, quality control, and in‑servicing staff, using QCIs for documentation.

Leadership – Handle payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.

Communication – Effectively communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators.

Safety – Use protective gear, manage cleaning solution mixing and use, report equipment needs or malfunctions, and follow infection control policies.

Punctuality – Consistent attendance and punctual arrival; timely completion of assigned cleaning tasks.

Customer experience – Represent HCSG positively, being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.

Resident experience – Positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

Positive attitude with ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine tasks daily.

After training, apply leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Basic computer skills for maintaining records and completing web‑based reports.

Must be available to work on schedule and on time.

Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policies, as required.

Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work for extended periods.

Comfort working around food and cleaning products.

Must live within the service area.
