Job Overview Our Manager‑In‑Training (MIT) program offers a 12‑week interactive curriculum that blends hands‑on and computer‑based learning. You will be guided through managing your own account, including training and supervising staff, maintaining inventory, creating reports, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
General Training & Comprehension – learn and perform job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions and train others.
Leadership Development – assist in training, quality control, and in‑servicing staff per policies and procedures.
Policies & Procedures – provide leadership and guidance to meet quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
Reporting – maintain records of income, expenses, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format for HCSG and facility management.
Training – responsible for all staff training and quality control, touring areas to assess work quality using QCIs.
Leadership – handle payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching and discipline, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
Communication – effectively convey client, building occupant, and administrative directives to HCSG staff.
Safety – use protective gear, manage cleaning solution handling, report equipment needs, and follow infection control policies.
Punctuality – consistent attendance, timely arrival, and prompt response to paging system.
Customer & Resident Experience – represent HCSG by being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, co‑workers, clients, residents, and facility guests.
Qualifications
Positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions for routine tasks.
After training, employ leadership skills to work independently without supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer skills for maintaining records and web‑based reporting.
Ability to start work as scheduled and be on time.
Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, or customers.
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Perform routine repetitive tasks continuously.
Work around food and cleaning products.
Live in the service area.
