We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will foster a love for learning, promote social and emotional development, and encourage creativity through play-based activities.
Pay Range Base pay: $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr (Reston Children’s Center provided range). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and implementation of age‑appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.
Engage children in hands‑on activities, storytelling, and interactive play to enhance their cognitive and social skills.
Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting developmental milestones and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Maintain open and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, and behavior.
Work closely with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
Ensure the health and safety of all children, adhering to school policies and state regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma in addition to a current CDA.
Preschool CDA preferred.
Previous experience working with preschool‑aged children is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Candidate must pass all required state and federal background checks to be eligible for hire.
