Purpose Statement The job of Custodian IV is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for custodial services at an assigned secondary school site; ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; assisting in preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events; and supervising assigned personnel.

Essential Functions Attends unit meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds. Delivers a variety of items. Informs students and other site personnel. Inspects school daily. Maintains an inventory of supplies and materials. Monitors students and staff in and around work areas. Oversees summer maintenance. Performs regular maintenance program tasks. Prepares and/or processes documents. Prepares facility for extra curricular activities and events. Prepares site for daily operations. Replenishes classroom and rest room supplies. Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns. Responds to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and/or visitors. Secures facilities and grounds. Supervises custodial service personnel. Other Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Operating equipment used in industrial maintenance, safety practices, computer use, assembling and repairing office and classroom equipment. Basic math, written procedures, oral instructions. Methods of industrial cleaning, general maintenance tasks, safety practices and procedures, proper usage and storage of chemicals and equipment. Scheduling activities, meetings, and/or events; gathering data; problem solving. Responsibility
Working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others. Work Environment
Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity; 10% sitting, 80% walking, 10% standing; temperature extremes and exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience
Job related experience is required. Certificates and Licenses
Online Driver Training Certification, Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability. Clearances
Criminal Background Clearance, Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
