Position : Senior Machinist
Location : Hartsville, SC
Salary Range : $60,000.00 - $77,000.00 annually (based on experience)
$2000 SIGN ON BONUS

As a Senior Machinist, you’ll be at the forefront of manufacturing operations, utilizing your expertise in machine shop equipment, CNC machinery, and advanced programming techniques. This role will challenge your problem‑solving abilities and expand your technical knowledge as you work on high‑impact projects with some of the industry’s top professionals. Must-Haves/Requirements
Technical Degree in Machine Shop
is preferred, though substantial experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience programming and operating NC Mills
is required.
Proficient in programming software such as
Esprit
or
MasterCam .
5+ years
of hands‑on experience working with
manual lathes, mills, and grinders .
Ability to read and interpret
blueprints
and apply
GD&T
standards.
Must be able to perform
machine setup , including making fixtures for parts.
Capable of checking own work using
measuring instruments
(OD/ID micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and scales).
Familiar with
CNC machinery
and a broad range of
machine shop equipment .
Willingness to work overtime , including weekends and holidays, as required.
Ability to work a
rotating shift schedule .
Strong
problem-solving skills
and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and program
NC Mills , demonstrating proficiency with
G-code
or
conversational programming .
Perform machine
setups , make necessary
fixtures , and fine‑tune machines for precision.
Apply knowledge of
material types ,
tooling , and
speeds/feeds
to optimize machine operations.
Read, interpret, and apply
blueprints
(both standard and metric), including knowledge of
GD&T .
Conduct self‑inspections on machined parts, ensuring they meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
Utilize
programming software
such as
Esprit
or
MasterCam
to assist in the creation of programs for CNC machines.
Follow all
safety protocols
to maintain safe operating conditions for all team members.
Document actions, discrepancies, and equipment status to ensure continuity between shifts.
Transition between different machines or job assignments based on production needs.
Work as a key team member in collaboration with other machinists to maintain workflow and production goals.
