Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs. Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools. Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments or minor repairs. Load raw materials and unload finished or semi-finished components. Adjust machine offsets and tooling as required to maintain part quality and adherence to tolerances. Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC mills and/or lathes. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications. Demonstrated experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges. Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming, with ability to perform minor edits. Understanding of various tooling, inserts, and materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics). Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM). Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM). Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
