Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the organization to patients as part of their health routine or life-defining health decisions.
  • This role is responsible for collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and professional patient experience while maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver license with a clean driving record, if applicable.
Experience:
  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure correct labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
