The Analyst II performs unsupervised analysis of average difficulty in support of a variety of contracts, programs, and projects assigned to CPS. The Analyst II must be able to communicate effectively, reason logically and creatively, and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve complex problems. The Analyst II is a key member of the section's support staff, which consists of an Office Technician, an Office Services Supervisor, an Office Supervisor 1, and two Office Assistants (Typing). The Analyst II must be able to communicate with command managers and supervisors to ensure work flows smoothly through CPS and that completed staff work is submitted in a timely manner.

Working Conditions Capitol Protection Section is located in downtown Sacramento. The work hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Minimum Requirements
ANALYST II $6,031.00 – $7,547.00
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
