Purpose Of The Position The position assists the director in the oversight and monitoring of Colorado’s competency based evaluation and restoration programs, primarily at Peak View Behavioral Health, Arapahoe County Detention Facility, and Denver County. The role involves responding to and screening referrals for hospital-purchased and jail-based restoration beds, providing clinical oversight, supporting audits, and coordinating programmatic functions with various agencies and contractors.

Job Duties

Screen referrals from courts, jails, hospitals, and databases to determine admissions, transfers, and discharges to hospital-purchased and jail-based restoration beds.

Act as a clinical team lead, providing oversight and support to Health Professional IIIs and delineating appropriateness between private hospital partners and jail-based restoration programs.

Support audit and site visit activities for private hospital partnerships and jail-based restoration locations, ensuring contractor performance and compliance with policies.

Gather, track, analyze, and report data to OCFMH and CDHS management regarding program performance, compliance, and contractor performance.

Collaborate with stakeholders—including state psychiatric facilities, county jails, court services, and contractors—to assure continuity of care, admissions coordination, and communication of essential information.

Participate in on‑call responsibilities during weekends and evenings for immediate response to unusual situations.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.

Master’s level education in a mental health or social work related field (e.g., clinical psychology, forensic psychology). Current license as a Clinical Social Worker or a Professional Counselor.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with competency to stand trial and work with severe and persistently mentally ill in acute settings.

Excellent computer skills including fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, and Google Applications.

Strong attention to detail, time and organizational skills, and excellent written and oral communication.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both team and independent settings.

Conditions Of Employment

Full background check.

Frequent in‑state travel between offices, county jails, detention facilities, and hospitals.

Must comply with all CDHS vaccination and testing requirements.

Full‑time, hybrid work schedule: minimum two in‑office days, maximum three remote days, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑5:00.
