Employment Terms
This role is an 8-week internship with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment
Internship and full-time employment are both fully in-office
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
Target Start Date: May 4, 2026
Estimated Salary: $63,000/year
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Essential Tasks - In this job, you will:
Provide operational support to a trading desk, manage loan lifecycle events processing, learn about trade flow from start to finish, and apply knowledge for exceptions managements
Recognize and act upon the changing economic and market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, and the impact of the evolving technology landscape to assess the operational risks inherent in business on a continual basis
Work with trading counterparties, including internal teams, clients & custodians, and other financial institutions to properly handle escalations and flag high risk issues to the management team
Use Critical Thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions to resolve corporate loan servicing specific issues, contribute to strategic decision-making, and enhance organizational efficiency
Manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities, projects, and to consistently meet deadlines
Maintain awareness of industry initiatives and market trends in the loan market that can impact business objectives and provide opportunities to improve processes
General Skills and Abilities - In this job you will demonstrate:
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
Strong analytical and organizational skills to be able to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop solutions
The ability to work in a team environment
The ability to take initiative and work efficiently
An interest in valuation and finance/accounting
A willingness to learn
Digital/Technical Skills - In this job you will demonstrate:
Intermediate data management skills using Microsoft Excel (such as transferring information, using formulas such as VLOOKUP, and creating charts/graphs and pivot tables)
Alteryx or other BI skills are nice to have but not required.
Education/Knowledge - In this job you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Accounting or Finance degree is nice to have but not required
Experience - In this job you need to have:
Experience (professional, personal, or academic) with Loan Syndication, Asset Servicing, Cash Management, or Project Management functions is nice to have but not required
Social Interaction - The following types of communication and interaction are required to perform the job successfully:
