Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state RN license in good standing, AHA Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment Required Education:
ADN Preferred Education/Experience:
BSN + at least 1 year RN experience preferred Shift:
Must be able to work three 12‑hour shifts each week from 7 P to 7 30 A with some weekends and holidays required. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50‑100 pounds daily and 25‑50 pounds frequently; stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. Job Summary
Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, patient‑centered care for adult patients with complex needs, including assessment, planning, implementation, teaching, documentation, and evaluation of nursing plans of care. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, monitor patient status, perform treatments as ordered, and facilitate safe transition from intensive care to progressive/acute care. Responsibilities
Assess and document patient conditions Plan and implement nursing care interventions Teach and develop patient and family understanding of health conditions Delegate tasks to Nursing Care Technicians and Nursing Assistants Ensure patient satisfaction and adherence to university policies and regulations Qualifications
Knowledge of Maslow’s basic human needs and Gordon’s functional health patterns Proficient in Swanson’s caring model Excellent direct patient care and critical thinking skills Basic computer navigation and internet skills Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills Highly motivated, proactive, confident advocate for patients and families Deadline to Apply:
