Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for employees, supervisors, and managers seeking information on paid and unpaid leaves of absence, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Minnesota Paid Leave (MPL), Parental Leave, Medical Leave, Military Leave, and other statutory or contractual leave provisions.
Review, research, prepare, and process employee and position data transactions in the HRIS system and ensure timely and accurate entry in accordance with state and federal laws, collective bargaining agreements, and Minnesota Management & Budget procedures.
Provide comprehensive personnel support by responding to inquiries and performing human‑resource functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant HR services.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience administering FMLA and other leave requests, including determining eligibility, evaluating, processing, and tracking requests.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or a related field.
Working knowledge of, and understanding of, union and collective bargaining agreements, rules, and laws that affect HR.
Proficiency with PeopleSoft/SEMA4 for reviewing employee and position information, pulling standard reports, and processing personnel transactions.
Variety of experiences working effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
