Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for 3D modeling and tool design. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, CNC machining, or progressive dies. Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and optimization of production tooling, jigs, and fixtures. Knowledge of tool steels, heat treatments, and material selection for various tooling applications. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for tool optimization and validation. Knowledge of additive manufacturing techniques for tooling applications (e.g., 3D printed jigs, fixtures, or mold inserts). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement methodology experience. Proficiency in CAM software for tool path generation and manufacturing processes.
