$70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Provide technical expertise and support for tooling issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing corrective actions.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of existing tooling to ensure peak performance and longevity.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and coatings for tooling applications.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design, fabrication, and usage.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including tooling specifications, drawings, and maintenance procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
3-5 years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance within a production environment
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)
Strong understanding of machining processes, injection molding, stamping, or other relevant manufacturing techniques
Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
Bonus Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for tooling design validation.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
