Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Transmission Project Manager with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3‑year contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position – 3 days a week in office.
Pay $56.18 - $61.18/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Description Transmission Project Managers are responsible for managing planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Carolinas geographic footprint. This position manages multiple White or Green I projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Responsibilities
Lead a project team consisting of design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel, and all construction crews associated with the project.
Maintain an accurate cost forecast and schedule during the entire project lifecycle.
Ensure that every milestone and deliverable is completed on time.
Manage multiple projects within the geographic footprint.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a two‑ or four‑year college or university.
Working knowledge of project management principles.
Proficiency in project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Experience in risk management and project leadership.
Proven collaborative team member.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from a four‑year college or university.
Utility technical certifications/training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) certification.
CMII certificates; professional engineer license.
Proficiency in project‑related scheduling and cost controls.
Experience in the utility industry.
Knowledge in construction management.
