Temporary Assistant Teacher

Position Title : Temporary Assistant Teacher
Location : Hanover, NH
Hiring Range : $18.00 – $18.41 per hour
Employment Category : Temporary Part‑time
Schedule : Flexible
Position Purpose The Substitute Assistant Teacher supports teachers with childcare responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Some experience working with children.
Completion of required training, including training in universal precautions.
Maintains pediatric First Aid/CPR training certification.
Preferred Qualifications
High school graduate.
Key Accountabilities
Assists regular staff with childcare in a play‑based curriculum.
Works with children ranging from 6 weeks to 54 months.
Assists in supervising children, participating in play, and engaging children.
Participates in some light housekeeping.
Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications appropriate to a welcoming environment for all.
Performs other duties as assigned.
