Position Summary Lead Technician (2,000 USD Sign‑on Bonus for first‑time hires only). This role requires technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.

Pay Range Pay Range: $24.10 – $48.78 per hour (flat‑rate pay model).

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications: brakes and hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition (primary/advanced), electrical, suspension and alignment, air‑conditioning, and computer systems.

Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.

Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.

Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment; company covers test fees and awards bonuses for each test passed.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive company or customer vehicles.

Experience in brake diagnosis/repair.

Experience in alignment, steering, and suspension diagnosis/repair.

Experience in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.

Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.

Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.

Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, automotive heating/AC.

Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications, or completion of a Vocational‑Technical School program.

A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1–A8 (L1 can be one of the three; Brakes and Steering & Suspension ASEs preferred).
